Officers

Board President, Lauren Wojtowicz

Lauren Wojtowicz assumed the position of board president in January 2009. Lauren is an attorney and brings over a decade of business leadership and fundraising experience to ALSO. Focused on expanding ALSO's resources and reach, Lauren has made growth and development of the board a priority since she took office. She is thrilled to be a part of ALSO's mission and is always looking for additional volunteers for board service.

Board Secretary, Rev. Bruce Ray

Rev. Bruce Ray has lived in the Logan Square community for over 30 years, serving as pastor of Kimball Avenue Church and Executive Director of Lutheran Day Nursery. He was part of the original group that formed the Alliance of Logan Service Organizations and has served on the Board of Directors from its inception.

Board Treasurer, Ivelisse G. Rodriguez

Ivelisse G. Rodriguez is the Branch Manager Assistant Vice President of Liberty Bank for Savings of Logan Square office. She has been a member of ALSO Board for the past six years. Ivelisse resides in Chicago with her husband Wilfredo and their four daughters.

Debra Flores

Debra Flores lives in and has been involved in the Humboldt Park community her entire life. For the past 7 years, she has been the principal of Humboldt Community Christian School and since its inception in 1980, she has been working there as a teacher, volunteer, board president, or principal. She also has over 35 years of varied leadership experience in local agencies and churches in the Humboldt Park and surrounding communities.

Letty Lara

Leticia Lara began pursuing her banking career 13 years ago at Liberty Bank for Savings. Her role at the bank has taken her to the current position of loan officer. She is a proud mother of two, Emily who just started high school this year and Justin who is currently in sixth grade.

Sari Mills

Sari is a graduate of University of Illinois Jane Addams College of Social Work. She has been working as a Chicago Public Schools Social Worker for the past 17 years. Sari join the ALSO board in 2009.

Evelyn Vasquez

Evelyn Vasquez was born in San Lorenzo, PR and raised in the Humboldt Park Community, where she still resides. She works as a Human Resources Representative at the Fort Dearborn Company in Niles, Illinois. In addition to her volunteerism with ALSO, Evelyn works with the Lydia House of Chicago and PAWS Chicago (a no kill animal shelter).

Sarah Wilhite

Sarah Wilhite is excited to be joining the ALSO Board. Sarah currently works as an employment attorney for Barnes & Thornburg LLP, and is on the Youth Philanthropists Board for the Chicago Lighthouse. Prior to moving to Chicago, Sarah graduated from Washington University in St. Louis Law School and worked as a judicial clerk for Justice Theodore Boehm of the Indiana Supreme Court.

Pedro Juan Windsor, Jr.

Pedro is a seasoned litigator, legislative consultant and political advisor who has represented both public and private sector clients in a variety of commercial, government relations and civil rights matters. He also works alongside legislators, community organizations and faith leaders on key issues facing urban centers throughout the United States. Pedro recently accepted an executive position with the American Bar Association.
